While the creation of Vetiver Gris, the perfumer’s first scent for Jacques Fath Parfums, was driven by his own desire for the brand and his vision for the fragrance, Jasmin De Toscane tells a different story. This time, it was Rania Naim, the creative director of Jacques Fath Parfums, who introduced perfumer Jean-Christophe Hérault to this unique jasmine, a scent that filled every trip to her childhood country. She brought the fresh blossom back to Paris, where Jean-Christophe discovered a completely different and intoxicating jasmine sambac, seemingly never used in perfumery before.

This discovery inspired him to analyze the fragrance using the Living process, an advanced extraction method. Guided by the desire to celebrate Haute Parfumerie while offering elegant modernity, Jean-Christophe selected the finest qualities of jasmine sambac, working with them in proportions rarely seen in contemporary perfumery. This high concentration of natural jasmine sambac gently transforms the color of the fragrance over time. Its hue shifts, embodying more amber tones, serving as a testament to the exceptional quality of the composition, a promise of perfection for a truly remarkable scent.

The fragrance initially opens with fresh notes of grapefruit oil, freesia, and petitgrain oil, bringing a vibrant and green start. Then, at its heart, three varieties of jasmine — Indian jasmine absolute, jasmine sambac absolute, and jasmine sambac Grand Duke of Tuscany — create a multi-layered floral depth. Finally, the base offers a gentle warmth, blending the sweetness of Sinfonide, resinous Benzoin, and a hint of hazelnut for a lasting finish.
